Walter Burke, PE
Walter leads the Geotechnical Department by providing technical oversight to field and office staff, engineering analysis, design recommendations and report preparation. His responsibilities also include business development and client communications. He has a diverse geotechnical and geo-environmental background encompassing geotechnical/foundation engineering studies, solid waste disposal facilities, and environmental engineering. He has experience providing geotechnical engineering and designs for major public and private developments. Some of Walter’s projects include the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, Fresh Kills Landfill Gas Control Project, New Jersey State Aquarium (currently known as Adventure Aquarium) Menlo Park Mall Reconstruction and Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. A graduate of Northeastern University, Walter holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He also pursued graduate studies in Geotechnical Engineering at Rutgers University, and holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering concentrated in Geotechnical Engineering. Walter joined PS&S in 1987.
