Since 2001, PS&S has provided professional Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) and remediation services on a total of 18 projects in New York and in Pennsylvania. Our experience has ranged from remedial investigation activities to complex remedial designs and construction. For remedial investigations at sites, such as Glen Cove in New York and Philadelphia Coke Site in Pennsylvania, PS&S has demonstrated its ability to identify, characterize and delineate MGP-related wastes. Regulatory Updates: New JerseyTime of Application Law:Governor Christie recently signed into law S-82. This new law will prevent municipalities from changing zoning regulations in direct response to development applications that are "unwanted" but otherwise comply with zoning. The law will not take effect until May of 2011, giving municipalities one year in which to update their master plans and zoning regulations. A copy of the new law may be viewed here Red Tape Review Group (RTRG): The RTRG, under the direction of the Lieutenant Governor, issued its report on April 19, 2010. The report provides very thoughtful suggestions for reforming the complex and time-consuming maze of regulations that have hurt or hindered the state's ability to recruit and retain business and foster new, responsible development projects.
