THE OPPORTUNITY
As General Consulting Engineer to the HCIA, PS&S assisted in the preparation of an update to the Hudson County Solid Waste Management Plan.
THE CHALLENGE
This Update was prepared in response to the letter issued by the NJDEP Commissioner, requiring an update to provide improved and enhanced recycling services.
THE PS&S SOLUTION
PS&S reviewed and worked with the HCIA on current solid waste flow data, recycling information and additional recycling enforcement procedures and the HCIA application system for including new recycling and solid waste facilities into the Hudson County SWMP (originally developed by PS&S and HCIA counsel).
