Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor (PS&S) performed environmental, geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering services for the corporate headquarters office building for American Home Products. The building includes 450,000 square feet of office space and a separate 1,300-car underground parking deck. The construction required a “fast-track” approach by the building team.
PS&S civil and environmental engineers obtained the required permits from township and state officials. Geotechnical engineers performed soil investigations and recommended foundation systems. PS&S structural engineers produced the foundation drawings and structural steel framing designs. PS&S provided field observations of reinforcing steel during construction, plus soil inspection and survey services. PS&S also provided a municipal environmental assessment, a wetlands state-wide general permit, and noise monitoring services during construction.
