Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor (PS&S) took a curiously shaped existing shell warehouse and fit it out as a highly interactive, area-efficient drug development laboratory. One wing is chemical, the other biological, with support facilities in the center. The lab program featured several large analytical devices, robotic screening, vivarium, 3-D molecular design, plus support areas including offices, a cafeteria, library and a variety of dedicated meeting spaces, as well as informal interaction areas.
The initial 100,000 sf was fit-out at once while PS&S assisted with the fit-out of the remaining 20,000 sf, on a project-by-project basis. Intensive field support of our architectural and M/E/P disciplines and the constructor was required in order to achieve on-time delivery of the project.
