Sewer Replacement:

Major Pharmaceutical Client

Micro-Tunneling/Chemical Sewer Realignment, Noise Monitoring, and Air Quality Assessment
New Jersey

Noise Monitoring

PS&S performed noise monitoring at multiple onsite locations of this major pharmaceutical client's facility during construction activities of a Micro-Tunneling/ Chemical Sewer Realignment Project. Work on the Micro-Tunneling Project involved excavating jacking pits, installing micro-tunneling equipment, tunneling, spoils handling, and sheet pile driving. PS&S performed noise monitoring during construction-related activities at indoor, outdoor, and sensitive receptor (areas proximate to research and development) locations. A Type I noise meter with data storage capabilities was used to collect noise data for input to a computer for processing.

Air Quality Assessment

PS&S also performed an air quality assessment to identify the potential for construction equipment exhaust odors to infiltrate facility buildings prior to and/or during construction-related activities. Mitigation measures were implemented to avert potential emissions impacts to sensitive locations.
