Wind Turbine Farm

Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor (PS&S) was hired by Community Energy, Inc. to provide planning, engineering and permitting services for the installation of five wind turbines on the property of the Atlantic County Utilities Authority wastewater treatment plant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 8.0 MW Atlantic City Wind Farm is the first wind farm in New Jersey and the largest coastal wind farm in the United States. The wind turbines are anticipated to produce 15 million kilowatt-hours of emission-free electricity each year.
Engineering services provided by PS&S included infrastructure surveys, geotechnical evaluations and preliminary foundation design services. PS&S also provided wetland and other environmental services including New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA), sanitary landfill disruption and soil erosion permitting.
