Water Design Engineer

Seeking Potable Water design and project management engineer. Candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience in design and construction administration of potable water supply, storage, and treatment facilities, well systems, water conveyance and water storage. Gas Pipeline Design Engineer
This Senior Gas Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering, technical support, pipeline design, project management for the gas transmission assets across the system. Project support for other regions within service territory could be required based on business and operational needs. This position is primarily project and technical support for the area. The most qualified candidates for this position shall have an understanding and technical background working with gas distribution and transmission pipelines, pipeline engineering, pipeline construction and effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Gas Transmission Pipeline Design: You will be responsible for engineering gas transmission facilities, which include gas pipelines, metering facilities, regulating facilities, and transmission service extensions. Knowledge of 49CFR Part 192 and Gas Standards and Specifications is critical to success. Ensure that all designs meet applicable codes and gas standards. Work with Design Engineers to develop construction drawings which you will approve and issue for construction. Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in gas transmission pipeline design, maintenance and operations. Depending on your experience, become a Subject Matter Expert in your area of expertise and provide oversight, consulting, technical support and document updates. Must be able to work with limited supervision and guidance, both independently and/or as a member of a team.

Provide field Technical Support pipeline engineering support by managing issues that arise with 3rd parties and other departments and the gas transmission pipeline. Provide real-time day-to-day engineering solutions, technical support, and on-call emergency response during dig-ins, pipeline repairs and other emergency response events. Job Experience:
10 years’ experience in Engineering, underground construction, gas distribution, gas transmission, pipeline etc. NJ, NY or PA PE license(s) a plus.

Instrument Operator

Qualified candidates should have field experience in all   types of land surveying, including boundary, topographic, physical, and   construction stake-out, along with a history in data collection and   instrument operations. Experience with    Topcon Total Stations, and TDS Data Collectors a plus. Working   knowledge of Static and RTK GPS desired but not required. Primary duties and   responsibilities include operating field equipment such as conventional total   stations and data collectors, providing front-end locations and stakeouts,   and providing support to tasks assigned by the Party Chief. Additionally, the   Field Surveyor may oversee a field crew's daily operations of all field   activities including boundary, topographic and as-built surveys; and   construction layout.

 

Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • 3 years of land survey experience + HS Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Good working knowledge and proficiency with modern survey devices and   modern survey methods , including competence in operating conventional total   stations and data collector to include setting up, modifying settings as need   arises, and ability to perform simple calculations, compute offsets and   points
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with   supervisors, subordinates, and related personnel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel for extended periods as needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Physical ability to work outdoors on project sites that may extend several   miles, carry equipment, and walk throughout the day.

Electrical Engineering (4 to 6 years):

  • Bachelor Degree with EIT or PE.
  • AutoCAD & Revit capabilities.
  • Performing field Survey for existing condition.
  • Designing Lighting & Power.
  • Laying out Fire Alarm System.
  • Electrical Calculation (Lighting Level, Voltage Drop, Short Circuit, Arc Flash).
  • Prepare one line & riser diagram.
  • Power calculation.
  • Familiar with NEC, NEFP & Building codes.

Electrical Engineer (Recent Graduate – 2 years):

  • Bachelor Degree in EE.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit experience is a plus.
  • Previous engineering internship is a plus.
  • Organizational skills.
