GIS

Paulus, Sokolowski & Sartor (PS&S) has fully implemented Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services into our project development and submittals for many of our diverse clientele.

We use GIS for its important link between spatial entities and databases. By creating a spatial database, the GIS group can quickly model virtually any type of information by its attributes or location.

Our GIS group maps environmental constraints to support the permit process, initial site assessments, and our wildlife biologists for properties (large and small) throughout much of the Northeast and beyond. The initial and supporting constraints mapping saves many hours in the field and often gives our staff a first glimpse of what they can expect to see on site. We presently host an extensive database of spatial data for the entire Northeast and are constantly updating our data and making sure we have the most current data available for our site assessments.

GIS is being used at PS&S to model and maintain immense datasets for our large corporate clients and developers. This data has been used to create conceptual site models, historical land use interpretation, plume and subsurface visualization, groundwater flow, landscape rendering, and site suitability models.

In addition to our GIS data creation, data interpretation, models and analysis, we also offer our clients secure web based project management and interactive mapping via the World Wide Web. Our project management sites are secure portals that allow project team access to critical data anywhere they have access to the internet.

PS&S believes it is important to work together with our clients to create data models that serve the project purpose. Our client's satisfaction is of utmost importance and we create customized solutions to solve data deficiencies and daily data demands. By determining first what a project's/client's data needs are, we are able to efficiently create an implementation plan that produces great benefits at reduced cost.
