As Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Coan brings over 40 years of leadership experience in the successful delivery of complex, high-performance public sector projects. His approach is grounded in a collaborative mindset and a deep understanding of the dynamics involved in balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders—a critical factor in projects such as the AtlantiCare Command Center.

Mr. Coan’s leadership is defined by his ability to integrate strong design principles with technical requirements, budget realities, and schedule constraints. He is known for bridging creative vision with functional execution, ensuring that each project meets operational goals while embodying architectural integrity.

While his portfolio spans multiple sectors, Mr. Coan has increasingly focused on public safety, government, higher education, and institutional work. His proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, build consensus, and maintain client trust positions him as an ideal partner for public projects that demand accountability, resilience, and forward-thinking design.

Ms. Coan received a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a Registered Architect in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. He is affiliated with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Society for College University Planning (SCUP).
